I know, it’s not very glamorous and doesn’t result in an OOH.. AHHH… picture at the end, but repairing rotted wood is a job we seem to do quite a bit of. Unfortunately, what might have been a fairly simple repair early on, if not noticed, can become a major undertaking. Wood rot is insidious and loves to spread hidden from sight. Watch for the tell-tale signs and catch it early! |

All’s well that ends well. We were able to repair it, but a few more months and the rot could have gone far enough up the rafter tails that it could have been a much more involved undertaking!!! |
